Especially when you compare the Ryzen chip to the Coffee Lake series from Intel, the bang for you buck simply can’t be overstated as it is easily head and shoulders above the competition.

As long as you are able to pair the Ryzen 7 2700x with higher-end graphics cards such as the RTX 2080 or 2080ti, RTX 2070, or a similar GPU, AAA titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare or the newly annouced Valorant will easily handle the demand. This includes less demanding titles such as Fornite or League of Legends, with high FPS and reliable performance regardless of visual settings.

I am currently using the ASUS Prime X470-Pro for my motherboard. I have been using ASUS Prime now for a while as I find it to be the sweet spot between price and performance. ASUS Prime offers good VRMs, RGB integrated 2 NVMe slots and a bunch of other features. Also, the X470 Series is going to be compatible with the upcoming AMD Ryzen 5000 Series. All you need is a bios update, so it is still a viable option. But the biggest reason for the purchase of the X470 was that this is one of the few motherboards that actually goes well with a white and black setup. The lack of white motherboards on the market is astonishing. Trying to find a motherboard that will not only visually suit your setup but also offer a good price for performance ratio is a challenge.
