If you’re wondering why it is considered as one of the best Mobile Shooter Games in the world, then here’s why.
This game features high-quality graphics and exciting gameplay tailored for mobile gamers.
Being playable on mobile is a big part of its design to captivate a wider audience. Not to mention how everyday users are spending more and more time on their smartphones and tablets. If you love the shooter genre, then read on!
So, without further ado jump in with me and take a look at what makes Call of Duty: Mobile “The game” everybody is talking about.
Let’s start with the “Multiplayer” mode, which is the fan favorite. Depending on what you want to face against or your current skill level, you can pick between the three types of MP match: Normal, Ranked, or Private.
In Normal match, you can simply pick the game mode that you want to play, while choosing the map that you like. Beginners usually used this mode to practice strategies, improve aim, or test their guns. It is also an excellent mode to familiarize yourself first with the game. This is the best way to start before jumping on the Ranked matches. After all, by playing Normal games, your ranked stats will not be affected, and you will not lose Ranked Experience as well.
If you play a Ranked Match, your stats will be monitored and saved on the leaderboards. So, if you’re a competitive gamer and fancy going up against pro gamers, then this game mode is for you. However, remember that the higher your rank is, the harder the competition gets.
This is especially true when reaching the Pro Ranks. In this rank, the possibility of you facing players who are more skilled and knowledgeable is high. Every time you lose a match, your rank experience will go down, and you’ll be demoted to a lower rank. The safest way to play a ranked game is to complete more objectives or ramped up your kills. This way, the experience penalty for a loss will be reduced.
In Private mode, you can start an online match with your entire squad. Call your friends and get ready for a fun-filled COD night!
Other Multiplayer Modes
The multiplayer gameplay modes so far are Free-For-All, Domination, Frontline, Hardpoint, Search and Destroy, and of course, Team Deathmatch.
I recommend that you focus on Domination, Search and Destroy, and Team Deathmatch. Why? Because these modes are played in Rank Matches. But keep in mind that you can’t pick a different mode when you queued in for a Ranked Match.
Not available in ranked matches. A King of the Hill type of game. This mode is the real deathmatch. There is no team, and everyone is out to kill each other, kill or be killed. Your ranking will be based on the number of kills. The first player who reaches 20 kills will win the game.
This is game mode is not for beginners. The main objective of the game is to capture and secure each of the control points. They are labeled “A B and C,” so it is hard to miss. To remain in control of a location, you need to kill everyone that tries to capture that spot.
The longer you defend the Control Point, the more points you’ll have. Newbies tend to focus on killing other players rather than securing control points, don’t make this mistake. So before you play a ranked match, take time to practice how to obtain objectives first.
Just like deathmatch, two opposing teams will battle it out to get the maximum kill within the allotted time limit.
This mode is almost similar to Domination but with a twist. Both teams will be fighting to capture and hold a specific area on the map. The difference is, capture points change its position as the game goes on. So, you better move quickly.
Search and Destroy
Skill and Patience game. This tactical game mode is similar to the critically acclaimed Counter Strike. In this mode, two teams defend their own “bomb site.” Your team should win a total of 6 rounds to emerge victoriously.
There are 2 ways to win the game. First, a team needs to plant and detonate a bomb successfully. The other way is to wipe out the enemy team. Be careful, though, because if you die, you will not respawn until the round ends. Like in Domination mode, teamwork is the key to victory.
The most straightforward and most simple game mode in Call of Duty Mobile. Two teams will race to reach the kill cap within the given amount of time. Don’t worry if you die because, unlike other game modes, you will respawn in a random area. If you’re the type of player that just wants to have fun and where fast-paced killing counts, then this is your go-to mode.
Both teams consist of 5 players each except for the Free-For-All mode, which only allows a maximum of eight players per match. Let’s just hope that other styles and content will be available in the future.
To be honest, I think that it is the best Battle Royale game on the mobile right now. Battle Royale is a “Free For All” (Kill everyone within sight) mode that allows you to fight against 99 players and be hailed as the last player standing. (Though you can befriend others and kill them later.) This game mode gives is pretty exciting and lets you experience that adrenaline rush.
The Battle Royale mode offers a lot of weapons and options to choose from. Apart from guns, you can also have rocket launchers, flamethrowers, and even drones. You will also have the chance to use helicopters, speedboats and even kill zombies spawning on the map. Sounds cool, isn’t it? The only downside of playing Battle Royale is that bots are pretty standard, especially when you’re in the lower rank. Anyway, for beginners, this is not so bad. Just treat it as a practice game and use the opportunity to improve more.
You can also choose to play solo, opt for a two-man squad, or even a four-man team, all depending on your preference. Though if you are pretty confident, you might want to try a one-man Squad to experience a more challenging game. Of course, it’s always more fun to play with friends.
Pick a Class
You can also pick a class that suits your gameplay or what your team needs. You can either choose Defender, Mechanic, Scout, Medic, Ninja, and Clown.
Versatile skills for solo and squad. The Transform Shield ability and Reinforced is one of the best in terms of a shootout. Use it wisely.
Useful in Squad mode. Mechanic’s EMP DRONE is a reliable option for the squad during engagements and firefights as long as you use it correctly.
My favorite class. Scout’s Sensor Dart is essentially a mini-UAV that shows enemy location on the area of the map where you’ve shot the Sensor Dart.
Best for squad mode. Very useful as support. Teammates are healed inside the area using Medical Station.
Not so good, in my opinion. It has a Grapple Hook skill, though that you can use to get to places without hassle. It also has a passive ability in Dead Silence that will be explained later in Perks.
Clown, has the ability of Toy bomb that summons zombies to attack players nearby.
I guess you’re waiting on this one. Yes, that’s right. GUNS!
For you to get better guns, you need to grind for it either by leveling up or by finishing quests. However, if you don’t have the time yet you are itching to use new guns, then you can load credits on your account and directly buy the weapons in the game. If you are willing to cash out, I would suggest that you also buy the battle pass first so you can unlock more quests and items, not to mention stronger guns.
However, if you don’t want to use real money, you can always choose to grind your way up and get better guns. If you are confident in your skills, guns are more of a preference rather than a condition for winning.
Here are my top 5 best guns and perks that I personally use in Call of Duty: Mobile.
My all favorite time gun. The AK 47 currently tops all of the firearms in COD. It can deal with 70 damage with every hit. Unfortunately, the accuracy is only 45, which means that the recoil of this weapon is very hard to control. But then again, with practice, you will get the hang of it. You need to reach level 23 to unlock this gun.
Assault rifle weapon that has a high rate of fire. Most high ranked players still use this gun even after the nerfs in the latest patch. This gun is always preferred as a primary weapon due to its balance in damage, accuracy, and fire rate
AK117 is currently the best weapon to use in the game in terms of versatility. The effectiveness of this gun in any game mode is top-notch. You can use this gun on both close and long-range shooting.
Another one from the AK line-up, the AKS-74U, is a deadly submachine gun, which is unarguably one of the best SMG in the game. It is also useful in mid-range, serious damage with excellent fire rate, and an easy to control recoil. The weapon of choice before reaching level 23.
DL Q33 is a Sniper Rifle that allows you to one-shot the enemy, as long as you land your shot from the chest up. It’s serious damage plus accuracy is well desired. The only disadvantage of this gun is its fire rate. That is why you need to make sure you always land your first shot.
Here are my recommended attachments for different guns:
Red-Dot Sight: My personal preference. More of a simple sight that gives you more vision when you’re scoped.
Foregrip: Gives you less recoil, making your weapon more accurate.
Extended Mag: A no-brainer. More bullets = more kill.
Quickdraw: Famous for faster ADS. Better in duel and face to face shooting, especially while rushing.
Perks depends on your playstyle and game mode. It also has 3 types that you can choose from, Green, Red, and Blue. Here are some examples that you might find useful.
Your very first set of perks. You’ll unlock them at level 4.
Agile: While equipped, you will have the ability to scope quicker after running. Best for close combat. Unlocks at level 30.
Flak Jacket: Takes less 35% damage from explosions. Very useful when facing an enemy that uses mine bombs. You can unlock this at level 39.
The next set of perks that you will have them at level 6.
Toughness: This will significantly reduce flinching at 60% when shot. You can unlock it at level 16.
The last set of perks that you’ll unlock at level 12
Dead Silence: Decreases the sound of your footsteps. You can open it at level 20.
These are just some of the “loadouts” perks, so don’t be afraid to experiment on your own. After all, it’s all about preference and gameplay. Make sure that your choices suit your style and objective, and most importantly, don’t forget to have fun.
Now let’s talk about the settings. The design is thoughtful as you can easily tweak your settings. Now you don’t have to find each set which we know will take a lot of time. Thanks to this, you can tweak your settings easily.
Game Design and Audio
The Graphics and Audio itself are amazing, and I would definitely rate it 4/5. Of course, you need to have an excellent phone to enjoy the game at its best. The graphics are amazing, and the gameplay is fluid and smooth. However, I recommend that you run it on the phone with a good CPU and RAM. Smartphone like BLU phones is the right choice as it has a big screen and impressive specs. Invest in a good gaming phone, and this is especially true when you are playing Battle Royale mode.
The sound quality is crisp and remarkable for the most part. I would suggest that you use a good pair of gaming earbuds. You can also go the extra mile and get yourself a couple of gaming cans. Don’t worry if you have a tight budget as there are headsets under $100 that help can maximize your gaming experience.
Lastly, the Game Controls. I rate it 4/5. If you’re a fan of mobile games and shooters, you can quickly adapt to the gameplay of CODM. There’s a lot of options to choose from depending on how you want to play as a player. It’s easy to say that CODM is the best one out there. If you’re grit and grind player, you could choose Multiplayer. Are adventure and roaming appeals to you? Then you could select Battle Royale. Once you’ve started playing, it’s hard to stop. Have fun and see you in the game!
